# VPN Status

## Check the connection

Run VPN Status when you want to check the current connection. The module has no configurable settings, and it reports whether it detects a VPN in chat.

## What it checks

VPN Status checks the route used by your connection to the server. A VPN sends traffic through another network before it reaches the server.
